Walking as a feminist practice: Rotterdam (2022)
Walking is understood as an aesthetic practice within the world of art: in the work The Society of the Spectacle, Guy Debord proposes it as a way of detaching ourselves from the gears that are imposed on us within the consumer society, breaking the schemes, the routine and letting ourselves be carried along by the site following our own impulses.
Although it seems to me a necessary practice, I question who can carry it out. This project materialises as a collective archive about the different routes we take when walking around the city, either due to bad experiences or simply because we don't feel safe. The project focuses on the city of Rotterdam. The maps are used as tool to open a conversation.
